In Germany, shops are closed on Sundays. Genuinely closed. People plan their whole week around it and visitors are always baffled.
Meanwhile in Spain everything closes 2β5pm for siesta and reopens until 9. Different closed, same confusion. π
As a Canadian this sounds like a fever dream. Our stores are open until midnight for no reason.
