In Germany, shops are closed on Sundays. Genuinely closed. People plan their whole week around it and visitors are always baffled.
Meanwhile in Spain everything closes 2β5pm for siesta and reopens until 9. Different closed, same confusion. π
As a Canadian this sounds like a fever dream. Our stores are open until midnight for no reason.
The head wobble. It can mean yes, no, maybe, or 'I heard you' depending on context and no I can't teach it to you.
We leave babies to nap outside in prams. In winter. In the snow. They sleep great and it's completely normal here.
Mate that's the opposite of everything my Australian brain believes about babies and cold.
Crossing the street. You just walk at a steady pace and the motorbikes flow around you like water. Do NOT stop suddenly.
